PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy Policy

Effective: August 31, 2026

Serendipity Dance Company, doing business as Serendipity Dance Co. ("Serendipity," "we," "us," or "our"), respects the privacy of dancers and families. This policy explains the information we collect, why we use it, when we provide it to service providers or others, and the choices available to families.

● Photographs, video, and audio created during classes, activities, performances, scheduled photo sessions, or events.
● Website analytics information, such as pages viewed, referring pages, browser and device type, and approximate location. Serendipity's website analytics does not use cookies or store IP addresses.
● Information supplied through linked services such as Presently or through online forms.

How We Use Information

When We Provide Information To Others
We provide personal information to service providers only as needed for work they perform for Serendipity, such as registration and studio management, payment processing, website hosting and analytics, online forms, email and text delivery, data storage, photography and video services, insurance, accounting, and professional services.

We may also disclose information when required by law or a valid government request, when reasonably necessary to protect rights or safety, in connection with a business transaction, or at the person's direction.

Serendipity does not sell personal information. We do not give family contact information, mobile numbers, email addresses, or consent records to another business for that business's own marketing. Mobile numbers, text-message opt-in data, and consent are provided only to service providers needed to run Serendipity's messaging program.

Photographs and Video
Photo and video use is governed by the Studio Policies & Terms. Families may select the marketing opt-out described there. Recital recordings, private practice videos shared with participating dancers or families, and scheduled class or recital photo sessions are handled separately from Serendipity's own marketing use.

Children and Family Accounts
Registration and family accounts are intended to be completed by a parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult. Serendipity does not knowingly allow a child under 13 to submit personal information through a child-facing website or account on the child's own behalf.

Retention and Security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for enrollment, safety, accounting, dispute resolution, insurance, legal obligations, and the purposes described here. Retention depends on the type of record and why it was collected. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure.

Website Analytics and Browser Signals
We do not track identifiable visitors across other websites or knowingly allow another business to do that through our website. Because we do not use that kind of tracking, a browser's "Do Not Track" setting does not change how our website works.

Your Choices
Families may use the parent portal to update certain account information and communication preferences. For other access, correction, or deletion requests, contact Serendipity. Some records may be retained for legal, accounting, safety, insurance, or operational reasons.

Use an email's unsubscribe link to stop promotional email. Use any available parent-portal control, or contact Serendipity, to change a dancer's photo and video marketing preference. Reply STOP to stop text messages.

Text Messages
Text messaging is optional and is not required to enroll or purchase anything. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Serendipity does not share mobile numbers, text-message opt-in data, or consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. Service providers may receive this information only as needed to deliver and support Serendipity's text-message program. Additional information appears in the Text Messaging Terms.

Changes and Contact
Serendipity may update this policy when its practices or legal obligations change. The current version will show its effective date, and additional notice will be provided when appropriate.
